Snowshoeing
Reisastua can offer our guests a snowshoe trip together with our partner Amazing Troms
Snowshoeing is a fantastic way to experience the beautiful Reisadalen, whether in the forest or on the mountain. The advantage of snowshoes is that you don’t need any special skills or prior knowledge to use them. You attach them to the winter shoes and then you just have to set off.
Arctic daylight Snowshoe hike to Avi Raishin
We take you on a snowshoeing trip in the beautiful Reisa Valley. Through snow covered forests, over frozen rivers and close to Reisa National Park. In fact, all the way to the door of Reisa National Park – Ovi Raishin. Ovi Raishin means “the door to Reisa National Park” and is a spectacular hand-built village, but also the visitor center for Reisa National Park and the Reisa Valley. Here you will find a lot of interesting information, exhibitions and a fantastic viewpoint.
At Ovi Raishin we will make use of the panoramic cabin “falcon nest”. We light fires in the camp and enjoy ourselves in front of the fireplace, with a striking panoramic view overlooking the mighty Reisa Valley. Here we will serve hot drinks, local snacks and if desired lunch.
Aurora snowshoe Hike’s
Join us for an evening trip on snowshoes, away from light pollution and noise, with the goal of experiencing the magical Northern Lights. Few activities are so easy for beginners, but at the same time exciting and adventurous as a snowshoeing trip. We walk in the dark and snowy forests, through a fantastic landscape on the way to a vantage point especially good for observing the Northern Lights.
We make a bonfire, while enjoying warm beverages and local snacks.
Our snowshoeing trips are suitable for most people, as our modern snowshoes are easy to use. If you can go, you can take part in our snowshoeing trips. We show how the snowshoes are used in conjunction with techniques for easier walking. We provide all equipment necessary. Both snowshoes and poles, but also outdoor winter clothes such as: Thermal suit, gloves, hat and winter boots.
If hazardous weather the tour will be cancelled with full refund.
Warm clothes, good and warm middle layers: Wool socks, wool/fleece middle-layer, scarf, warm sweater and trousers. Remember! We offer only the outermost layer: Thermal suit, gloves, hat and winter boots. Without good layers of warm clothes under thermal suit, you will get cold!
NOTE: Lunch pack addition is available if desired. Let us message. Remember to write us if there are any food allergies or vegeterian.
