Dog sledding

Together with our partner Riverland Husky, we have the pleasure of offering dog sledding trips.

Join us on an unforgettable dog sled ride in the beautiful Reisa Valley – the entrance to Reisa National Park.

At Riverland Husky, everyone will be able to get the opportunity to manage the team. During the trip, we stop at our wilderness camp and enjoy hot food and drink.

When you arrive at Riverland Husky you will be heartily welcomed and introduced to your tour guides. They will take you to your changing room and help you get ready for your adventure!

We will teach you how to operate the sled safely, how to stop and how to communicate with the huskies. Each sled will have 4-6 dogs pulling 2 people, one seated and one driving.

Everyone will get an opportunity to ride the sled through Reisafjord’s amazing natural landscape.

If the weather is clear you might even get to see the magical Northern lights!

We will make a stop at our cabin to enjoy some traditional Norwegian cuisine and hot drinks by the campfire. We also have a vegetarian alternative.

You will have a beautiful view of the mountains and the opportunity to ask us any questions or play with the huskies.

What to wear?

Nordic weather can get very cold during winter season, so remember to bring warm winter clothes! 

We recommend bringing:

• Wool thermals
• Wool socks
• Fleece sweater

We will provide:

• Coveralls
• Beanie
• Mittens
• Skis
• Headlight (for dark season: November–February)
