We offer ice-fishing in excellent Arctic char lakes up on the mountain plain. We catch whoppers of 2-3 kg on an annual basis. For those with a special interest, we can also offer trips to lakes located off the snowmobile trail network.

Ice-fishing for Arctic char

We can transport you by snowmobile or dog sled to good lakes for char fishing. There are countless good lakes where you can fish for large char. Each year our guests catch large quantities of good fish.
 

Late season ice-fishing

Best season: spring
This is an extremely unique form of fishing. The best time is when the ice has started to melt around the edges. During this period, the big char really bite.
This type of fishing takes place in late May and we need to use skis or a dog sled to get to the fishing lakes.

Snowmobile trips

We can offer many exciting trips here on trails starting immediately adjacent to Reisastua Wilderness Lodge. We can drive towards Finland or Kautokeino.
The approved snowmobile trail network starts just 200 m from Reisastua.
We can drive on the mountain plain to fish or simply to have fun.
We hire out almost completely new Polaris snowmobiles from the well-known dealer Motorsenteret.
Our guides know the local area well and safety is a top priority.

Dog sledding

We offer dog sledding trips in collaboration with Tromsø Wilderness Centre to countless Arctic char lakes, some of them well known and others better kept secrets. In this way, we can get to exciting fishing lakes that it is not possible to drive a snowmobile to. Particularly in May, this can be a unique experience with late season ice-fishing for big char.

We offer fantastic photo safaris for groups or individuals combining light, contrast, season and nature.

Reindeer sledding
